A work born from a chance find: pyrite AKA “fool’s gold.” A material that speaks of illusion, false value, and the pull of arrogance, pride, and greed.

The second circle, “Golden Fool,” is etched on gold-colored pastry cardboard, is inspired by tarot. It merges the Fool stepping forward without certainty, and the Hanged Man — choosing stillness to shift perspective. 

The medium allows no corrections. No undo. Just instinct and immediacy.

This piece reflects on how fragile and subjective value really is, and questions the quiet influence of convention, perception, and blind consumption.
